Food & Fibre Technology
In the Food Technology rotation, we will help prepare the garden by sowing seeds, planting seedlings, harvesting produce, composting organic kitchen waste and examining soil and can explain the components needed for healthy soil and the biology of soil science.
We will use a range of cooking techniques and equipment to prepare and process ingredients and create sweet and savoury dishes with a cooking partner. We will work safely and hygienically to ensure the kitchen is clean and ready for the next session.
In Fibre Technology we will explore different natural materials and their properties and compare these to synthetic materials. We will also use the design thinking process to create our own product.
